Problem Solving 100 people in a village

Kia ora bloggers

This week for maths we have done something called if the World Were a Village of 100 People which means if everyone in the world were all 100 people.

For me and my group we were talking about Schooling and Literacy Me and my partner made a graph displaying some of the information. it is above.

Some interesting statements are that mostly boys get to go to School and that 1 in 5.5 people do not get to go to school at all. And also there is one teacher who teaches a class of 31 people ages 5 to 24, who speak a lot of different languages. Not everyone is supported/encouraged to read and write and even think! Out of the 88 people old enough to read only 71 read, that means 17 people can not read at all.

Would you like if the world were a village of 100 people?
